The best classroom in Los Cerros Gymnasium: the woods of "La Aguadora" trail

Learning in the reserve in the eastern hills of Bogota has been, for many generations of the school, part of their daily lives and a source of fond memories.

The school and the Empresa de Acueducto de Bogotá, owner of the land of the "La Aguadora" reserve, have seen the opportunity to work as a team in the development of common objectives, putting the students in direct contact with nature so that, through observation and exploration, respect, care, love and protection of the environment can be fostered in them.

On August 21, the fourth grade students, accompanied by the rector, teachers, expert guides on ecological issues, aqueduct personnel and the army, carried out a journey through the "La Aguadora" trail, and participated in different activities and exercises that tested their skills and abilities.
