Dear Parents:

First of all, I wish you much peace and tranquility in these difficult times for all of us: work at home for the vast majority, children at home, uncertainty and the permanent threat of the coronavirus, just to name a few of the new variables that have become part of our ordinary life.

We have already spent a long week with our children at home, within this new process of education and formation. And we are all learning: you as parents, us as directors and teachers, and your children, as central protagonists of this new world, which has quickly come to all of us, with its accelerated changes.

After having secured, during the past week, the lives of each of the members of our educational community, we must continue to take care of the measures of prudence and protection that the authorities are indicating to us, seeking the common good of society and of each one of us.

At this moment, above any other issue, what really matters is that, at the end of the acute phase of this pandemic, all of us are alive. Everything else is solvable.

During this second week, we will be monitoring, more closely, the academic development of our students, through the communication and follow-up that technology offers us.

Tomorrow is a great feast of the Blessed Virgin: The Solemnity of the Annunciation, when the Virgin said YES to the Lord, and the new life of Jesus, as man, began among us, in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Let us entrust to Our Lady of Los Cerros the health of every member of our educational community and of the whole world.

Finally, I would like to encourage you to continue to be very united as an educational community and to sow, permanently, optimism, peace and joy in each of our homes, infecting ourselves with the virus of serenity: this is really worthwhile.

Possibly, in this new path, we will have to make some corrections. Please do not hesitate to send us, through the group directors, any suggestions you may have.

Best regards,

Eduardo Manrique Andrade
Rector
