Catholic education at Gimnasio de Los Cerros school

Man is a spiritual and religious being. For this reason, special importance is given in our school to the formation of these two dimensions of the person, coherently following the teachings of the Catholic Church.

Spiritual and religious guidance is entrusted to the Prelature of Opus Dei, whose purpose is to contribute to the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Church, promoting among the Christian faithful of all walks of life a life consistent with the faith in the ordinary circumstances of their lives and especially through the sanctification of work.

The school's formation plan includes the possibility for students, employees, family members and teachers to receive, if they wish, the sacraments of the Eucharist and confession. We also organize annually the celebration of First Communions and Confirmations for students and other people linked to the school who wish to receive these sacraments.

School chaplaincy

The chaplaincy is the set of services of spiritual accompaniment and access to the sacraments offered by the school. One of the main objectives of the chaplaincy is to facilitate the sacramental and prayer life of all those who wish to cultivate their Christian life, because the sacraments and prayer are two necessary ways to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ in the midst of everyday occupations.
The services provided by the chaplains are available to the entire educational community: students, parents, teachers, administrative and non-teaching staff from Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 3:10 pm. During these hours it is also possible to access the sacrament of confession. In addition, the chaplains provide guidance to those who participate in the retreats, retreats and family courses organized by the school.
The schedule for Holy Mass is Monday through Friday at 8:50 a.m. in the school oratory.
